Standing an impressive23 inches tall, this grand sculpture serves as a commanding statement piece, perfect for a library, study, mantelpiece, or formal parlor display.The craftsmanship is incredibly detailed, featuring a heavily textured quilted caparison (horse armor/drapery) beautifully adorned with raisedFleur-de-lismotifs, a beautifully sculpted swirling mane, and a fully armored knight in a classic medieval plumed helmet.Key Details & Specifications:
- Maker/Studio Mark:Clearly incised on the lower base with"ENTEL.S"alongside the original vintage catalog mold/model number"1175".
- Dimensions:Stands approximately 23 inches tall.
- Material:Expertly hollow-cast in fiber-reinforced gypsum composite/chalkware. It features its original interior excelsior structure and a highly sophisticated, multi-layered faux bronze/aged iron patina that perfectly mimics the look and cold texture of heavy metal while keeping it a safe weight for household furniture.
- Condition:Good vintage condition. It shows a wonderfulaged patina.
- There are a few minor, character-adding white nicks exposing the inner composition (typical for authentic vintage chalkware of this era), which can be easily touched up if desired.
- Note on Accessories:The separate, removable miniature sword or lance is missing from the knight's hand. This is an incredibly common occurrence for this specific model, and can be easily remedied by sliding a vintage metal knight letter opener into his grip to fully restore its dramatic battle silhouette.
