ConditionGood vintage condition with age-related wear. There are cracks or separations along the outer edge, small chips and abrasions around the corners, and areas of gold-tone finish loss. Please review all photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing.
DescriptionOrnate vintage wall plaque by the Alexander Backer Company, featuring a raised neoclassical dancing maiden surrounded by an elaborate gold-tone frame.
The central cream-colored bas-relief depicts a graceful woman dressed in flowing classical-style garments, accented by delicately painted foliage and floral details. A beaded oval border frames the figure, while dimensional grape clusters, leaves, flowers, and scrolling lines decorate the rectangular outer frame.
Its richly aged gold finish and romantic figural imagery give the plaque an elegant Victorian Revival, Hollywood Regency, and French-inspired appearance.
