Vintage Cast Iron Lamb Cake Mold 2 Piece 14" Smooth Interior Heavy:
$90.00
Vintage cast iron lamb cake mold — complete 2-piece set. Approximately 14 inches long x 8 inches tall. Very heavy — genuine old cast iron construction. Smooth interior surface. No maker's mark visible. Rust and marks on surface as shown. Wire holes present on both pieces. Both halves in good vintage condition.
This is a beautiful example of a full-size vintage cast iron lamb cake mold — the traditional Easter and spring baking tool used by generations of home bakers and professional bakeries to create the iconic standing lamb cake. At 14 inches long and 8 inches tall this is the full standard size — larger and more impressive than the smaller molds commonly found.
What makes this mold exceptional:
- Smooth interior surface — critical for clean release and fine detail on the finished cake — rough interiors leave texture on the cake surface.
- heaviness — confirms genuine old cast iron — not a lightweight reproduction or aluminum substitute
- Complete both pieces — front half and back half — ready to use immediately
- Wire holes present on both pieces — traditional construction for securing halves together during baking
- No maker's mark visible — consistent with many pre-1950s foundry produced molds
This is a heavy item — shipping will reflect actual weight.
