Large, oval, hand-painted porcelain foot bath (or jardinière planter) featuring an ornate Satsuma-style design with moriage-style raised enamel detailing, extensive gold gilding, and figural panels depicting geisha figures on a boat. Pieces in this exact style and decoration are commonly vintage mid-to-late 20th-century export porcelain, often marked or associated with Chinese production made in the aesthetic tradition of Japanese Satsuma ware. 17".
