Vintage Chinese Porcelain Lu Xing Figurine God of Prosperity:
$25.00
This is a beautiful vintage Chinese glazed porcelain figurine depicting Lu Xing (also known as Lu Lao), the revered Taoist God of Prosperity, Career, Success, and High Status. He stands as a perfect companion piece to the God of Longevity (Shou Xing). This charming, hand-painted piece features traditional iconographies, showing the deity styled as a high-ranking imperial scholar with long black hair and a sweeping beard. He holds a classic red and gold Ru Yi scepter cradled in his arm—a traditional symbol of good fortune, power, and the fulfillment of wishes. He wears a flowing pale blue/celadon robe adorned with hand-applied dark blue patterns and delicate floral motifs near the hem. The unglazed, hollow slip-cast base features mid-20th-century factory markings typical of the 1950s to 1970s Republic or early PRC export era, making it a wonderful addition to any collection of Asian art or Chinoiserie decor.
The figurine measures 4 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep. There are no chips or cracks. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition. As is.
