This is a silverplated cross Christmas ornamentcreated by Gorham Silver Mfg. Co.in their Strasbourg pattern.
The Strasbourg pattern, a Rococo design with curves, scrolls, andfine details, is one of Gorham's most popular flatware patterns.MEASUREMENTS:About 4 1/2" tall (not including the ring at the top)About 3 1/2" across at the rimAbout 1/2" thick
This ornament was hung at Christmas for a few years, then stored away formany more years. There is some light all-over tarnish (appears as a haze in the photos) andsome heavier tarnish and discoloration in recessed areas and hard to reach spots. There are some very light scuffs - more like rub marks from cleaning - on the surfacevisible under magnification - (personally, I don't think they can be seen when on display). The red hanging ribbon is wrinkled and creased from being stored away for years. The box shows signs of wear.~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~
