Vintage Military Flyers Cold Weather Jacket 1973 Men Large MIL-J-83388A Airborne:

Vintage 1973 Greenbrier Industries U.S. military cold-weather flyers jacket, tagged Large 42–44, constructed from flame-resistant aromatic polyamide Nomex with 101st Airborne Division patch and Airborne tab, quilted lining, utility sleeve pocket, knit trim and multiple hook-and-loop patch fields. First-pattern MIL-J-83388A jacket commonly considered a predecessor to the CWU-45/P. Exact history of the attached patches is unknown.
CONDITION
Good distressed vintage condition with authentic military wear. Scattered runs and pulled threads throughout the outer material, light marks and discoloration, fraying to the specification label, and a small hole near the interior bottom hem. Empty hook-and-loop fields indicate removed patches. Main zipper is unmarked; sleeve-pocket zipper is marked SERVAL. Knit cuffs and waistband show age-related wear but remain in good overall shape.
