I’d like to thank a very knowledgeable friend who helped me identify this sterling silver Texas ranger style complete 3 piece sterling silver belt buckle set as a possible early SCHAEZLEIN product. Many of their early items were manufactured for third parties who simply wanted them hallmarked “STERLING”, as this set is. I can’t give a 100 percent guarantee that it was produced by them, but it is quite likely based on the engraving and composition style. Whoever the maker was, this is a very high quality old western American sterling silver belt buckle set and it will be a great addition to a collection or to wear everyday.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SIZE OF THIS BELT BUCKLE SET IS SMALL TO MODERATE…..the main buckle measures 1 1/2” x 1 1/4” and has an opening to fit belt straps up to 7/8” wide. The keeper has a 3/4” opening and the end piece has a 5/8” opening. The attached hand tooled leather belt was hallmarked by a Santa Barbara, California, maker and measures 32” from tip to tip, including the buckle pieces. It is one inch wide in its main section and tapered to 3/4” wide at the main buckle end and 5/8” wide at the tip end. It shows minor signs of wear and use, as would be expected on a belt from this era. I would also comment that the entire set was likely for a child or a person with a small waist. Shipping will be USPS ground advantage package, insured.
