Pair of ornate Rococo Revival style candlesticks featuring exceptionally detailed cast metal construction and substantial decorative bases.These striking candlesticks feature elaborate European-inspired ornamentation with raised floral, foliate, scroll and shell-style detailing throughout the stems, candle cups and bases. The highly dimensional decoration gives these pieces a dramatic Baroque/Rococo Revival appearance.The metal has a dark aged bronze/brass-toned finish with lighter highlights across the raised details. The decorative metal portions appear to be a non-magnetic copper-alloy type metal such as brass or bronze. The magnet only responds around the lower hardware/fastener area.
The substantial bases are constructed with metal on the exterior and are wood-filled on the underside/interior.
