Up for sale/sale is a rare lot of two vintage issues of The East Village Other (EVO), the iconic underground newspaper published out of New York City during the height of the 1960s counterculture movement.This lot includes:- October 11, 1968 (Vol. 3, No. 45)
- October 25, 1968 (Vol. 3, corresponding late October issue)
The East Village Other was famous for its radical politics, psychedelic and underground comix artwork (often featuring legendary artists associated with the underground scene like Kim Deitch and R. Crumb), avant-garde culture, and gritty snapshots of 1968 New York City life. These original newsprint issues are highly collectible primary sources of the era.Condition:
- Format: Original newsprint tabloids.
- Flaws: Expected age-related toning/yellowing of the paper, minor edge wear, small tears along folds or margins consistent with reading and age. Please review all provided photos carefully to judge the exact condition of each issue.
