An iridescent dragon of inlaid mother-of-pearl (raden) crosses the red lacquered saya, shifting color as the light moves. The saya holds a hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel blade, heat tempered, with a bo-hi on each side, paired with a traditional tsuba and black cotton ito. It arrives sharp, with a full tang and two mekugi, and comes fully apart for care.

• Hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel, heat tempered. 52–54 HRC at the edge holds a keen, hand-sharpened edge; a softer 48–50 HRC spine absorbs shock. A bo-hi (fuller) runs along each side.
• Full tang, fully disassemblable. The tang runs the full length of the handle and is secured with two mekugi pegs. The sword can be taken apart for cleaning and reassembled.

Not intended for hard targets such as metal, stone or seasoned hardwood. The blade can rust if left wet: wipe it dry after handling and apply a light coat of sword oil before storing.
