Anthony) operating the historic Union Mills in Troy, New York. Printed on a striking, vibrant yellow paper stock and dated July 7, 1881, the document formally credits a $36.06 check payment received from cashier M. Jeff Hayes of West Hebron, NY. The piece features elegant decorative typography and is hand-signed by company clerk C. Clenminshaw. The reverse side features standard mail-folding creases and a bold, handwritten vertical filing docket mark reading "C.A.
