The 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition was Seattle's first world's fair, held from June 1 to October 16, 1909, which showcased the development of the Pacific Northwest, celebrated the wealth brought by the Klondike Gold Rush, and attracted over three million visitors.Measures about 26 x 11, not counting the tassels, which extends 3 1/2 to top and 4 1/2 to bottom. No tack holes but one small hole to bottom left of gold field. Sewn on letters, unusual double tip. Writing on back as shown. Outstanding condition, bold colors and complete. Postpaid.Fair Location and Design- Built on the campus of the University of Washington.
