Sioux City, Iowa — ORIGINAL 1927 VINTAGE BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPH
A young woman in a sparkly sequined two-piece costume (bra top and shorts) with dark stockings poses confidently in an alley in Sioux City, Iowa, beside a brick building, with vintage automobiles in the background. Dated June 1, 1927, documented by handwriting on the back of the photo (the Sioux City, Iowa location is supported by this back inscription).
This is a wonderful example of 1920s vernacular photography — flapper-era fashion, showgirl costume, and vintage glamour. A striking piece of Americana for collectors of vintage photography, 1920s ephemera, and costume/fashion images.
