Original Vintage 1960 US Air Force Base Hospital Merry Christmas Menu Lackland San Antonio Texas
By 1960 this was the USAF Hospital, Lackland, a major Air Force medical facility in San Antonio; its modern building had opened on November 16, 1957, and its "A" Wing was completed in 1960. It descended from Lackland's Station Hospital, established June 7, 1942 to care for aviation cadets and grown to roughly 1,500 beds by the end of World War II. In March 1963 the hospital was redesignated Wilford Hall USAF Hospital for Maj. Gen. Wilford F. Hall, long serving as a flagship of Air Force medicine.
It measures 6" x 4.5" closed and 9" x 6" open.
