Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible late Victorian tabletop photo display featuring its original Edwardian-era studio portrait.
**The Frame Hardware:**
This is an authentic spring-tension easel-back frame utilizing the famous design patented by Charles Scheurich. The brass hardware is clearly and crisply dual-stamped with historical markers:
- "Scheurich's Patent" on the main horizontal wing support.
- "PATENTED 18 JAN. 1881" stamped on the lower bracket rim.
- "D.R. PATENT" (Deutsches Reichspatent) stamped on the alternate bracket, demonstrating its premium historical transatlantic export/import lineage.
The frame consists of a heavy piece of antique plate glass with polished, hand-beveled edges. The spring-loaded column rod functions beautifully, providing tight downward tension to keep the portrait safe and upright.
**The Photograph:**
Housed inside is a stunning, crisp sepia-toned studio portrait of a young woman showing peak Edwardian fashion (circa 1900-1905). She is styled with a voluminous Gibson Girl pompadour hairstyle, a high lace collar neckline, and an exquisite gown highlighted by an oversized satin bow sash.
The lower border of the matting features the original photographer's signature written beautifully in graphite pencil: "McCarthy".

**Condition:**
Excellent antique condition overall. The brass mechanism features a gorgeous, untouched aged patina. The original beveled glass shows typical light amber tint aging around the perimeter with no major cracks. The portrait matting shows incredibly minor foxing/aging strictly consistent with age, and the pencil signature remains beautifully legible.
