Antique ANSONIA "ROMANCE" Open Escapment Cobalt Blue Porcelain Mantle Clock:
$228.00
As Found. Ansonia model " ROMANCE". Cobalt blue. Entire finish has very uniform crazing with some discoloration. Original pendulum. Key is not old. Untested but springs ok and will strike both hour and half hour but out of sync. I suspect the minute hand to be a replacement as it fits poorly. The glass dial cover looks to be original and is convex. The dial shows cracks around the number eight. The hour wind hole is missing the brass grommet. Signed movement with an amateur soldered wire for unknown reason. So needs some TLC.
