Sears CraftsmanCompatibility

Sears contracted Millers Falls to produce high-end cast ironhand miter boxes. Your 5/8" diameter, 8-11/16" long post fits thefollowing:

Craftsman "Commercial" Line (Late 1950s–1960s):This line featured high-grade gray or silver paint instead of the traditionalMillers Falls glossy black or red. The full-sized versions are exact clones ofthe No. 74 and No. 75.

Craftsman 170-Series Cast Iron Boxes: Models like theclassic Craftsman 170.36500 (and related 170-coded heavy cast-iron boxes) werebuilt directly on the Langdon Acme Size 2 chassis and utilize this exact5/8" post geometry.

Montgomery Ward /Wards Master Quality Compatibility

Montgomery Ward marketed their contract-built tools undernames like Wards, Wards Master Quality, or Lakeside.

Wards Master Quality Heavy-Duty Series: Wards sold atop-tier cast-iron miter box that was visually identical to the Millers Falls No. 74, matching the bed, frame size, and 5/8" guide geometry.

The "Powr-Kraft" Era: Later mid-century Powr-Krafthand miter boxes that feature heavy cast frames (rather than lightweightstamped sheet steel) also share these identical dimensions.
