$275.00
Beautiful, highly collectible 1930s San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) Fireman's "Rosette" style duty badge, featuring badge number 925. It is estimated approximately 2000 of these badges were issued to active personnel under the leadership of Chief Engineer Charles Brennan who served from 1929-1943.
This piece features the unmistakable hallmark of the manufacturer on the reverse: "Irvine & Jachens S.F."--badge maker for San Francisco first responders.
This obsolete badge features the classic cloud-shaped rosette frame showcasing the text "S.F.F.D.", bold numbers "925", side mounted fire horns, and the detailed San Francisco city crest at the base.
Made from German Silver (nickel silver) with a gorgeous natural aged patina.
The hardware is the original heavy-gauge vertical pin and rollover safety catch both of which are intact and functioning.
Measures approximately 2" X 2".
This badge is obsolete, over 75 years old, conveys no authority, and does not resemble a current law enforcement or active duty badge. It is sold strictly as a historical collectible and memorabilia item.
