Atq/Vtg 1950s ? Advertising Bank The National Bank Of Washington Barrel Of Money:
$35.00
The product is a vintage 1950s promotional bank from The National Bank of Washington, featuring a unique barrel of money design. Made of metal by Banthrico Industries in the United States, this collectible bank is an original piece with a nostalgic theme that reflects the advertising and promotional practices of the era. Perfect for collectors or those interested in vintage banking memorabilia, this item offers a glimpse into the past and adds character to any collection.
Banthrico Industries banks, the barrel-shaped one pictured, are primarily made from die-cast "white metal", which is a metal alloy consisting of about 95% zinc, 5% aluminum, and traces of copper, brass, and lead. The final finish, which appears chrome in the image, is applied through an electroplating process.
Extra Bonus.... I received this from an estate sale and there is some sort of a coin in it which I cannot get out. If you bring it to a bank they may have a key to open it. From researching it one key the banks had opened all of them. You may be able to watch some YouTube videos on how to get it open. I didn't have the energy or time to do it. Not sure what kind of a coin it is.
