PROVENANCE: these items were owned-- and WORN-- by the late Colonel Richard Coykendall of Southern Maryland amidst his service-- then a Lieutenant-- during the attack on Normandy in World War II. He was stationed in France as well as other fronts. After the war, he took on a significant role as an early advisor to Vietnam. He subsequently worked directly under-- and became a personal confidant to-- then Secretary of Defense McNamara. These facts highlight a distinguished career spanning multiple wars and critical periods of American Military history, thus adding further imbued value to these highly collectible and desired authentic and worn items.
