Description:
Up for sale is a rare, hand-painted limited edition animation cel titled "Dethpicable Courtroom," created and hand-signed by legendary animation director Chuck Jones.
This iconic piece features classic Looney Tunes characters: Bugs Bunny presiding as judge, with Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd in the courtroom scene. A humorously re-written line from the characters' dialogue is included in a thought bubble. This piece is hand-signed by Chuck Jones in the lower-left corner and is part of a limited edition of only 500 pieces, individually numbered (#92/500).
The artwork is professionally matted in a teal and cream dual mat and housed in a dark blue metal frame.
Detailed Condition Notes:
Artwork & Matting: Excellent condition. Colors are clean, vibrant, and perfectly preserved.
Certificate of Authenticity: Excellent condition.
Glazing: The plexiglass pane has a few visible surface scratches in several spots due to age and handling.
Frame & Backing: Strong, sturdy frame. The paper backing shows some light, normal shelf/storage wear on the reverse.
(Note: Plexiglass can easily be swapped by a local framer if preferred, but it continues to protect the piece well an official Warner Bros. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) affixed to the back of the frame, detailing its 1993 release, production method (serigraph line art with hand-painted colors), and verification of Chuck Jones' approval and signature.
