Build a complete Civil War generals shelf in one purchase — three hardcover biographies covering three of the war's most consequential commanders: Confederate general James Longstreet, cavalry legend Nathan Bedford Forrest, and Union general William Tecumseh Sherman. All three books are in Fine condition with Fine dust jackets, tight bindings, and clean pages — a cohesive, display-ready lot for any Civil War library.

Why Buy This Copy?

This lot brings together three well-regarded Civil War biographies spanning both sides of the conflict — ideal for collectors who want a Confederate/Union balance or are filling gaps in a Civil War biography collection. All three copies share the same clean, tight, Fine condition and the same distinctive shared provenance: each carries a gold "Library of John A. Kramer" bookplate seal on the half-title page, tying the set together with a common collection history.

Buying as a set saves you from tracking down three individual copies in matching condition, and gives your shelf a uniform, collected look — two of the three (Longstreet and Forrest) are matching Konecky & Konecky "Civil War Library" editions in complementary marbled cloth-look jackets, with the Sherman volume a companion Smithmark edition published in special arrangement with the same Konecky imprint.
