This is acontemporary Altar Set for use for Mass or other ceremony in a small chapel or home devotional setting. It consists of a fine brasscrucifix and two matching candle holders which are each separable into threepieces for easy storage or cleaning. These were given by a Canadianparish to a Catholic religious group in my area, proceeds from thesale to help support their Catholic Charities and are, I think, contemporary in age and original as a set.The crucifixmeasures 7 3/4” long with a one-half full semi-abstract figure of Jesusseparately cast and permanently attached to the cross.
The candleholders stand 5” high when assembled, including the 5/8” pricketson their top centers, with bases 3 1/8” in diameter.
Two FREE unusedgood quality candles are included here as starters for the set. These are 6 1/4” long and 1 3/8” in diameter.
Condition on thebrass graded as FINE, with no dings or scratches to the surfaces, just a little bit of stubborn tarnishing on the candle holdersis noted in a few places. There will be 9 pieces in all in the parcel: thecrucifix, six pieces for the two candle holders plus the two candles. We are offering these as a set and would request that you do not request that we sell items separately at this time.
