. Collected at low tideunder rubble, at Bohol Island, Philippines, 1981.

. I only found beachedaselluswhileliving on Kwajalein, and usually they were very beached, so beached in fact Icould barely tell what they were except by shape. I often think of thatlittle beach where I used to find them though, because in the high tide line, one could sit down and just sift through the coral and debris and find anenormous number of different small cowries, including beachedmariae, martini, childreni, cribraria, punctata, small stolida, helvola, clandestina, bistrinotataand others. And what I think today is, ifthose shells were in such quantity on that beach on thelagoonsideof the island, well, that meant they were in the shallow waters right in frontof me, weren't they? That'swhat I think about, huh.Of course, I'm retired, so wasting my time thinking likethat is a requirement of being old...(I also tell long, rambling stories to captive audiences too, another requirement!)

. Anyhow, as the photos show, this is a gorgeous, livecollected GEM beauty that will lookwonderfulon your shelf!

The perfect shell for afirst-class collection.

As for normal disclaimers, wedo the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cellphone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why somany of the photos of shells on show up with more orange than is reallythere, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stopthat from happening, but I try, honest!

As for response, as your know, sellers live and die by the response you leaved, (please leave fives!) so ifyou have a problem, just let me know! After all, I'm retired, and allmessages go directly to my phone, so unless I'm out shell collecting I will getback to you pronto-like!

Shell collecting! Nowthere's a phrase that brings smiles to your eyes, doesn't it!

Anyhow, if you have read thisfar, you have my apologies and best wishes from those of us atIslandShells323. And don't forget,

Home is where your collectionis!
