Destiny Mara Sov 3A Ashley Wood Statue Bungie Employee Exclusive 1 of 300 RARE:
$1799.00
Exceptionally rare Mara Sov / Queen of the Reef statue from Bungie’s Destiny, produced by 3A (ThreeA) in the distinctive style of artist Ashley Wood to commemorate the original Destiny launch era.
This is not the later mass-market Mara Sov collectible statue. This version was produced exclusively for Bungie employees who worked on the original Destiny and was never offered as a standard public retail release. Only 300 examples were produced, making it one of the considerably scarcer pieces of early Destiny memorabilia. Contemporary collector documentation and an archived listing from a former Bungie employee corroborate the 300-piece production and employee-exclusive distribution.
The highly stylized approximately 12-inch Mara Sov figure depicts the Queen of the Reef standing with one foot atop the remains of a Vex Gate Lord, a design associated with Mara Sov’s appearance in the original Destiny. Collector documentation dates the statue to the game’s 2014 launch period.
The sculpt features exceptional detail throughout, including Mara’s white sculpted hair, purple and metallic costume, dramatic black faux-fur collar, layered fabric-effect clothing, high heels, and the elaborate distressed mechanical Vex remains incorporated into the display base.
The underside is marked:
“Destiny © 2014 Bungie, Inc.”
Condition: Very good pre-owned collectible condition. The statue displays beautifully and, importantly for this extremely fragile design, Mara’s feet, heels, legs, arms and other delicate components appear intact. There is light age/display wear and some minor surface marks consistent with a collectible of this age. The faux-fur collar remains present. The elaborate Vex base has an intentionally heavily distressed/battle-damaged finish as part of the original design. Please examine the numerous close-up photographs carefully for exact cosmetic condition.
No original packaging is included unless otherwise stated.
Approximately 12 inches tall (approx 16 inches with base) including the display base; please see measurement photograph.
With only 300 produced for Bungie employees, surviving examples rarely appear on the secondary market—particularly intact examples. A significant early Destiny collectible for serious collectors of Bungie memorabilia, Destiny, Mara Sov, 3A/ThreeA, Ashley Wood, or video-game statues.
