Gillette Super Speed "40's Style" Safety Razor / Y-3 1953 / Near Mint Condition:
$39.95

Offered up for sale here is this 40's Style Gillette Super Speed Safety Razor. First introduced in 1947, and in production for 7 years - from 1947 to 1954 - the "40's style" Super Speeds were the first generation of Gillette's highly popular Super Speed Razors. With a blade gap of .64mm, they're generally considered to be moderately aggressive middle of the road shavers... only slightly more aggressive than subsequent versions of the Super Speeds that succeeded them, and equally well suited for all beard types. This one is in excellent overall near mint condition, with no real mechanical or cosmetic issues to speak of. The date code, Y-3, stamped into the bottom of the razor's head indicates this one was produced sometime in the 3rd quarter of 1953. The plastic case with the red bottom and clear top shows some scuffing and minor wear that have accumulated over the years... but no cracks. This one would definitely be a great addition to any serious wet shaver's arsenal of razors. Buyer will pay $8.95 for insured sipping via USPS to any destination within the continental United States... free shipping for any buyer who purchases this razor using the "Buy it Now" option...
