Photo Overview

This is an original late-1940s studio head-and-shoulders publicity photograph of British actor Guy Rolfe, boldly hand-signed by Rolfe in blue fountain pen across the lower margin. The striking black-and-white portrait captures Rolfe in dramatic lighting wearing a naval cap emblazoned with a laurel wreath insignia, possibly tied to one of his wartime drama roles. The reverse is blank, confirming its use as an autograph keepsake rather than a press print and it measures approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Guy Rolfe (1911-2003) enjoyed a lengthy screen career, first gaining attention in British features of the 1940s before appearing as Prince John in Ivanhoe (1952) and later becoming a cult favorite as the sinister puppet-maker André Toulon in the Puppet Master horror franchise. Authentic period-signed photos from his early career are far scarcer than his later convention-era autographs, making this a desirable addition for classic film collectors. Secure this vintage treasure now before another enthusiast snaps it up.
