$425.00
Up for your consideration is a rare and unusual Poi Pounder made by ancient man. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. This has been displayed in my office for many years. Always a conversation piece. Heavy for its size, it measures 7 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide at the base. A amazing piece to add to your collection. This product is a large and heavy Hawaiian poi pounder made of basalt, dating back to the 18th-19th century. Handmade in the United States, this cultural artifact reflects the Hawaiian tradition of preparing poi, a staple food made from mashed taro roots. The provenance of this item includes its ownership history, adding to its authenticity and value as a collectible piece of Hawaiian culture.
From my personal collection. Selling to downsize a bit. New items listed every week. Please see and save my store. Many loyal repeat customers. You never know what will be for sale.
