This is a vintage German Mylflam semi-automatic petrol/wick table lighter, model 111 from roughly the late 1940s to early 1950s. Mylflam Metallwaren GmbH (associated with Heinrich Maltner) was a well-known German maker of quality petrol lighters, active until the mid-1970s. Their table models used a patented semi-automatic lift-arm/flint wheel mechanism that allows the flame to stay lit when handed over. The mechanism on this model is complete and original. Finish is worn from use and age. It is an Art-Deco-influenced design of the era, and is an excellent addition to any collection.
