Pair of Translucent Rocky Mountain Juniper Coaster Slices - Matching Set 3":
$35.00

Offered here is another stunning matching pair of highly translucent Rocky Mountain juniper wood rounds. Cut sequentially from the same dense log, these 3-inch slices feature beautifully aligned growth characteristics and a deeply indented live-edge contour that forms a near-identical mirrored set.
The Light Test: Neon Crimson Radial Glow
When placed over a strong light source, these pieces completely transform. The dense concentration of natural pitch locked within the heartwood illuminates into a brilliant, saturated neon crimson. The backlight highlights a dark, clean focal pith with dramatic resin rays branching outward through the tightly packed growth rings.
Natural Attributes & Structure
Under standard ambient lighting, the wood showcases warm, golden-orange amber heartwood framed by a heavily textured, dark bark perimeter. The micro-tight ring structure is incredibly well-preserved, reflecting slow high-alpine development. Authentic character checking lines run naturally inward from the bark edge, emphasizing the raw, organic history of the specimen.
Project & Creative Uses
Sliced thin to maximize light transmission while retaining excellent structural integrity, this set is ideal for:
• Premium custom drink coasters or display bases for high-end collectibles
• A balanced, split-frame backlit display or custom shadowbox art feature
• Fine craftsmanship projects, including embedding into epoxy resin accents
• Furniture accent inlays, custom box making, or specialty woodcrafts Related Items:
