An elegant Victorian-era mechanical mantel clock featuring an ornate glazed earthenware/porcelain case. The case is designed in a sweeping Neo-Rococo silhouette with molded scrollwork highlighted in hand-painted mauve/pink detailing and gilt gold accents. The front facade is beautifully decorated with transfer-printed and hand-touched delicate blue-and-white dogwood blossoms, green foliage, and small butterflies.The clock face features a brass bezel framing a cream-colored dial with bold numerals and dual winding arbors. The center of the dial boasts a finely detailed, ornate gold-toned brass reticulated filigree center disk.Condition Notes:• Mechanics: Includes its winding key and pendulum. The clock mechanism runs and appears to hold time, though it has not been officially tested for long-term precision.
