OverviewAn exceptionalEmeralite Model 8734 H library/desk lamp, manufactured by H.G. McFaddin & Co. dating to the early 20th century (circa 1916–1925). This highly collectible "Second Period" model features the iconic, brilliant emerald green cased-glass dome/mushroom shade paired with a heavy, stately solid brass pedestal base. - The Base: Stamped explicitly with the model designation"8734 H"into the brass hardware. It features a heavy, weighted circular foot with its original cast-iron interior weight, giving it excellent structural stability. Equipped with a smooth, functional vintage pull-chain socket mechanism.
- The Shade: Features the authentic, hand-blown cased glass produced by the renownedJ. Schreiber & Neffenglassworks in Moravia. The exterior showcases a rich, deep emerald green gloss, while the interior is lined with opaque white milk glass designed to diffuse a warm, glare-free downward glow.
- Signature: The shade features the genuine, verified"Emeralite" signature stamp.
- Overall: Excellent, collector-grade vintage condition.
- Glass: In pristine condition. No hairline cracks, scratches, or chips. The sensitive glass ridges where the shade meets the metal armature clips are clean and well-preserved.
- Brass Base: Displays a beautiful, authentic aged patina with minor, gentle surface wear consistent with a century of light residential display. The brass has not been aggressively over-polished, retaining its highly desired historic character.
- Functionality: Tested and in working order.
