Title:Sleight of Hand by Edwin Sachs - 2nd Edition - Classic Magic & Legerdemain Guide
Description:Step back into the golden age of conjuring with Edwin Sachs classic, Sleight of Hand: A Practical Manual of Legerdemain for Amateurs and Others. This expanded second edition remains one of the most foundational works in the history of close-up and stage magic, packed with detailed 19th-century performance secrets and original illustrations.
Whether you are a collector of vintage magic literature, a performing magician, or a history enthusiast, this is an essential cornerstone volume for your shelf.
Condition Overview:
Overall Condition: Good to Fair
Binding: Tight, strong, and structurally sound
Pages: Crisp, bright, and clean with moderate foxing or discoloration
Detailed Condition Details:This volume has been well loved over its long history, but it remains a solid, sturdy book that you can comfortably open and read without worrying about damaging it.
Cover & Spine: The binding is tight and sound except for the last couple of leaves. The exterior shows clear signs of age, including fading, wrinkles, minor surface bubbling, and slight cracking along the top edge of the spine.
Endpapers: Minor cracking and paper tears are present at the endpapers. The rear endpaper has tears in two spots and appears slightly loose in the photos, but it is firmly attached and does not compromise the structure of the book.
Markings & Features: Contains minor, neat pencil numbering on a handful of pages. Includes a collectible dealer sticker inside front cover from Andrade Sydney.
Note on Photographs: The photos are shot up close to reveal every flaw in full detail. Because of this, the book actually presents and feels much better in hand than it might appear in the high-magnification close-ups.
This is a complete, sound, and fully readable copy of a landmark magic manual, perfect for reading or filling a gap in your vintage library.
