A 35-inch display prop of the compact, side-fed weapon Japan issued to its paratroops and naval landing forces in the Second World War — the perforated barrel jacket, the curved magazine jutting from the left of the receiver, the bayonet bar beneath the barrel, and the full wooden stock of a service rifle. It reads instantly in a display case, a photograph or on stage, and it is a shape almost nobody else offers.
The prop carries every detail that makes it recognisable: the round barrel jacket with its rows of cooling holes, the curved side magazine, the cocking knob on the right of the tubular receiver, the folding leaf rear sight, the hooded front sight, the slotted muzzle compensator, the bayonet mounting bar ending in its rounded cap, and the wooden stock with its sling swivel plate and butt DISPLAY PROP.
