VTG HAND TURNED BURL WOOD PILL BOX OR NEEDLE CASE:
$19.00
This exquisite hand-turned wooden acorn is a masterclass in artisanal craftsmanship. Carved from a rich, highly figured burl wood, it features a beautiful, dense grain pattern with naturally occurring bird's-eye flourishes. The piece is designed as a functional container, often used as a travel pill box, a needle case, or a vessel for essential oils and potpourri. The cap is meticulously detailed with concentric ribbed rings to simulate the texture of a real acorn husk, and it fits securely onto the smooth, polished body. Its compact size makes it a tactile 'worry stone' or a charming desktop accessory. The warm, dark brown finish highlights the natural chatoyancy of the burl wood, making it a perfect gift for collectors of wooden treenware or nature-inspired decor. Pieces like this are typically created by skilled woodturners and are prized for their unique, one-of-a-kind nature.
