$26.50
A gorgeous Vintage Tutanka Enamel on Copper Art Tray crafted in Japan. Perfect for trinkets, dresser or display. The Shippo Yaki is the Japanese term for Cloisonne ~ a labor intensive process by talented artisans. The process used results in a unique and lovely motif. This spectacular creation of blue toned flowers with green leaves on a silver white detailed background. It appears that a layer of clear enamel or lacquer protects the front portion (very smooth ~ not certain what material was used). The reverse is black and includes the Tutanka sticker ~ A RARE find! This piece measures nearly 6 7/8" across and sets nearly 1/2" high. In surprisingly nice condition for it's age. Virtually no signs of use or storage. As is expected from these lovely pieces, there is a tiny enamel blemish on the front (see photo) either from the hand crafting process or storage. The tiny blemish does not detract from the unique quality of this tray.NOTE: We apologize for white spots from camera flash reflection. Please Remember ~ many of our items are Vintage, Antique, orpreowned. Slight evidence of wear/use/storageis to be expected. We attempt to noteany obvious blemishes that we find.
