Vintage Frier’s A-Lox Shoe Laces Store Display Can – 48 New Old Stock 27" Laces – Circa 1930s!Wonderful original piece of American shoe-store advertising and new-old-stock merchandise.This vintage counter/display can contains 48 original Frier’s Shoe A-Lox shoelaces, each measuring approximately 27 inches long. The original paper bands remain around the laces and are marked “Frier’s Shoe A-Lox” and “27.” The individual packages also retain their original 2¢ price markings.The round store display container has clear sides allowing the merchandise to be seen and an original red metal lid with attractive yellow advertising graphics reading:
“WEAR ALOX SHOE LACES”Based on comparable surviving Frier’s A-Lox shoe-lace store displays, this piece appears to date to approximately the 1930s/early 1940s.An especially appealing survivor because the original display container and its large quantity of unused period merchandise have remained together.Condition: Very good vintage condition considering its age. The laces appear unused/new old stock. Original paper wrappers show expected age toning and some wear. The display container and lid show scratches, finish wear, oxidation and other age-related wear. There is some loose/fuzzy material visible among the laces. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.Details:
