Up for sale is a rare, authentic vintage advertising print commissioned by the American Optical Company in 1942.

This detailed print highlights the transition into scientific optometry, depicting "Doc Carter" using an early trial case and optical equipment to examine a patient.
Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. The print face exhibits great clarity and depth. The original historical story label remains intact on the backing paper on the reverse side of the frame. Safely mounted in its wooden frame.

### CONDITION & CONDITION OF BACKING (PLEASE READ)This is an authentic, decades-old antique item and is being sold in "as-is" vintage condition. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
- Front/Artwork: The print face and glass are in good, intact vintage shape with expected minor age wear to the wooden frames (slight scuffs/nicks).- Backing/Paper: The protective brown paper backing on the reverse side of the frames shows notable signs of age, wear, and deterioration. - There are visible areas of tearing, water-staining/moisture discoloration on the paper edges, and fragile paper backing. - The historical description story labels are present but show age-related toning and partial peeling/wear. - The hanging wires are attached but reflect their vintage age.
We have intentionally left the backing in its original, untouched state to preserve the historic integrity of the piece. Please buy with confidence knowing these wear patterns are normal for authentic 1940s medical advertising decor.
