Scarce post war mid century Mylflam semi-automatic Monopol petrol pocket lighter featuring coat of arms for city of Zweibrucken, Germany. Made in West Germany during the 1950s, features Mylflam's iconic "OO" geometric hallmark stamped on the bottom plate. These lighters were popular souvenirs for U.S. military personnel station at the nearby Zweibrucken Air Base. Squeeze mechanism spring opens sharply and forcefully on its own. Flint wheel grinds cleanly and produces a strong spark. Front features a gold-toned city shield showing a rampant lion under a mural crown. Chrome casing shows vintage character with wear commensurate with age. Please see pics for condition.
