MID-CENTURY MODERN NORDIA ISRAEL CAST BRASS FISH for your consideration is an investment-grade piece of mid-century modern design history: a Vintage Solid Cast Brass Fish Catchall / Trinket Dish, meticulously crafted by the renowned Nordia Workshop in Israel, circa 1950s. This particular specimen is in immaculate, excellent vintage condition, making it a prime choice for serious collectors of global modernism and fine metalware.HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
Produced during the golden era of the post-independence Israeli Arts & Crafts movement, Nordia pieces were created by highly skilled immigrant artisans and Holocaust survivors on Moshav Nordia. Alongside mid-century design giants like Pal-Bell, Nordia pioneered the iconic "green and gold" aesthetic that captivated international luxury markets throughout the 1950s and 60s.CRAFTSMANSHIP & MATERIAL DETAILS:
This substantial, heavy piece is sculpted from solid cast brass. It showcases Nordia's celebrated artistry: a deep, highly textured, matte teal-green chemical verdigris patina nestled flawlessly within a hand-polished, gleaming golden-brass frame. The stylized fish motif features clean atomic-era curvature, a geometric scale grid, and an elegant modernist profile.ELITE CONDITION REPORT:
