Vintage handmade crazy quilt / patchwork quilt measuring approximately 58” x 75”, made with a wonderfully eclectic mix of fabrics that appear largely 1970s era.
The front features a colorful assortment of solids, florals, checks, novelty prints, geometric patterns, and retro fabrics in red, yellow, blue, brown, cream, green, and more. The quilt is hand tied with colorful yarn, giving it a charming homespun look.
One of the best details is the backing, which appears to be made from repurposed vintage Dixie Lily feed sack fabric. Faded original printing is still visible, including “Dixie Lily” and “Wheat Shorts.” This gives the quilt a great farmhouse, utilitarian, make-do-and-mend character.
