Vintage Alpha Galaxy Briar Tobacco Pipe – Made in Israel
Vintage Alpha Galaxy estate smoking pipe produced by Alpha/Shalom of Israel, probably dating from the 1970s–1980s.
An especially attractive and unusual example featuring a large bent Dublin/freehand-style bowl with very deep sculpted rustication and a dark burgundy-brown finish. The pipe has a long curved translucent amber-colored stem with the Alpha logo. The stem appears to be acrylic/Lucite and is not represented as genuine amber.
Marked “ALPHA / Galaxy” on the shank. Alpha was a well-known Israeli pipe brand produced by the Shalom Pipe Factory primarily for the American market.
This is a previously smoked estate pipe and shows normal age and use. There is carbon buildup and darkening inside the bowl and around the rim, along with normal surface wear. The stem has light wear but displays very nicely. Please examine all photographs closely for exact condition.
Approximately 5¾" long based on the photographs. Large, distinctive bowl and beautiful translucent stem make this an especially striking Alpha Galaxy example.
Pipe is being sold as a vintage collectible in its present, uncleaned/as-found condition.
