HISTORICAL CONTEXT: Following the closure of the legendary Collinsville, Connecticut factory in 1965, the regional manufacturing rights and machinery were acquired by Stanley Works. Production for the Central and South American markets shifted to the facility in Amatitlán, Guatemala, operating under the name Herramientas Collins, S.A. This piece dates precisely to that highly collectible transition era between 1965 and 1975.
