This is a rare 5.5-inch vintage kokeshi doll by Kunio Miyagawa. Her name is "Shiki no Uta" or Poetry of the Four Seasons. Her kimono has hand painted, fan shaped panels depicting motifs of the 4 Seasons including Spring irises and Autumn foliage. Handmade in Japan, this unique piece represents traditional Japanese culture and craftsmanship. With her intricate design and historical significance, she would be a valuable addition to any collection focusing on Japanese aesthetics and modern folk art. The artists sticker is on the bottom.
