Vintage Faux Wood Plastic Magic Production Box Hidden Lever Mechanical Illusion:
$29.49
Vintage mechanical magic production box.
Crafted from durable, lightweight hard molded plastic with a realistic faux woodgrain finish, this parlor-style prop offers the classic look of a heavy wooden illusion chest without the weight—perfect for the traveling performer.
How the Illusion Works:
The box appears completely empty to the audience. However, it features a cleverly engineered internal mechanism. By activating manual levers, secret trap doors drop down smoothly on either side to seamlessly reveal or conceal your production load (such as silks, spring flowers, or a small prize). The manual lever release ensures complete control over the illusion, preventing any accidental rattling or premature drops mid-routine.
Features & Condition:
• Material: vintage molded plastic with a faux wood grain finish.
• Mechanism: Manual lever-released dual internal trap doors (Not gravity/tilt dependent).
• Maker: Unmarked / No visible maker's marks.
Pre-owned vintage condition. The exterior finish looks good, the hidden doors shift cleanly, and the mechanical lever operates properly. (Please review photos for exact cosmetic condition). You can see the mechanical levers on the outside. That’s why I’m pricing this so low. I don’t know if there’s a way you could disguise them better. I think this is more of an intro/ nostalgic type magic prop.
This is a wonderful, highly visual utility piece for a working magician, a nostalgic addition for a vintage magic collector, or a great prop for someone looking to add a reliable production to their parlor show.
