Vintage Gerber Command II Fixed Blade Knife – Serial 007398 – Portland Oregon USA
Early-production vintage Gerber Command II fixed blade knife, manufactured in Portland, Oregon, USA.
The Command II is closely related to the famous Gerber Mark II, but features a single primary cutting edge with a partially sharpened and serrated upper edge near the point.
This example carries the early six-digit serial number 007398, consistent with the early tool-steel, satin-finish production Command II
Condition:
Good vintage pre-owned condition with normal scratches, marks and signs of use.
Important condition note: the very tip of the blade is slightly broken/chipped. Please see the close-up photographs. The damage is relatively small but is clearly visible and has been taken into account in the asking price.
The remainder of the blade appears solid, with the original serrations intact. Handle shows normal cosmetic wear. Leather sheath is complete and shows age-related wear consistent with vintage use.
Please examine all photographs carefully, especially the close-up photographs of the blade tip, as they show the exact condition of the knife being offered.
An interesting early example of the discontinued Gerber Command II, with a low six-digit serial number.
