Allen & Co.Incorporating a genuine Herbert Terry ANGLEPOISE articulated spring-balanced mechanism,clearly embossed with the Herbert Terry Anglepoise name and patent markings.The original blue P.W. Allen maker's plate identifies the lamp as Type A90 TM,likely dating from the late 1950s or early 1960sA substantial circular weighted base supports the mechanism, with a separate upright electrical housing and toggle switch.The genuine Anglepoise counterbalanced arm features exposed tension springs and adjustable jointsfor flexible positioning over a work surface.The long rectangular black metal shade houses a linear fluorescent tube,providing broad illumination for close inspection or precision work.
