Vintage Lillian Vernon Woven Mallard Duck Decorative Basket
A wonderfully detailed Lillian Vernon mallard duck featuring woven wicker/rattan construction and individually layered natural wood/bamboo-like feathers. The mallard has a dark green woven head, warm brown breast, natural wood bill and dimensional feather detailing throughout.
What makes this piece especially interesting is itshidden storage design. The duck'shead is removable, revealing an opening at the neck, and therear section also removes, providing access to the hollow woven long × 8" high to the top of the head. Body is approximately4" high.

It is invery good pre-owned condition, with attractive natural variation and light age-related wear. The detailed feather work appears remarkably well preserved. Please review the photos closely because the handmade/natural construction produces variations in the wicker and feather pieces. One of the eyes is missing, look closely at photo, other eye is loose but there.
