**Title:** Vintage MCM Leather Wrapped Hippo Sculpture Open Mouth Glass Eyes Figurines 13”
Up for sale is a fantastic vintage Mid-Century Modern leather-wrapped hippopotamus tabletop sculpture. This artisan-crafted piece features a highly detailed, textured dark brown split-leather skin tightly wrapped over a solid structured core.
It stands out with its expressive open-mouth design, displaying four white faux-bone/ivory teeth, floppy leather ears, a small tail, and its original inset glossy black glass eyes.
**Dimensions:**
- Length: Approx. 13" to 14" (Nose to Tail)
-Height: 7.5"
-Width: 5"
- Great scale for a shelf, desk, or mantle display.
**Condition:**
Good vintage pre-owned condition with excellent structure and character. The original glass eyes and all 4 teeth are fully intact. There is a small area of surface scuffing/splitting to the leather at the base of the tail (please see final photos for details). This does not affect how the piece displays and adds to its authentic aged patina. The bottom of the feet are unmarked, which is typical for these imported 1960s/1970s artisan figures.
Please review all photos carefully as they serve as the primary description of condition and scale.
**Shipping & Handling:**
Ships promptly and securely packed to ensure safe arrival. Calculated shipping based on your location.
